Did you know that a lack of sleep can cause lapses in memories? It can even help influence the way that you see the world around you. On top of lack of sleep and the ability for your mind to rest, your outlook on things, as well as the events of the world around you can affect you as well...

This album tells a story of falling into such depression and anxiety due to your worst dreams and fears becoming reality, and how the more intense reality gets for you, the world when you're sleeping and the world when your awake blend together into a myriad of broken thoughts, memories, and events.

What kind of things can cause these feelings? Well...
- Loss of self
- Current events
- Relationships
- Isolation
- Self realization (and a failure of such)
- Loss of hope
- A feeling of no escape from your life
- And, of course, a severe lack of rest.
...as well as many other things.

Sometimes you want to escape... to rest... but yet you just can't seem to.

You try to escape through the things that make you happy. You might also try to escape through your time not awake... your time in dreams... but your dreams can also be plagued with the thoughts that you have of the world around you, sending you further into the abyss.

You may find yourself trapped... or you may find clarity... You never really know until you're there.

As matter of fact, it's safe to say that this is the exact mindset and the emotions that I went through that inspired me to make this album.

The last 12 months have been one of mental distress, social distress, lonliness, isolation, and deep depression and emptiness... and I still feel all of those feelings to this day.

And yet, with all of that, I have had some forms of revelation and self-discovery. I might not have been able to feel like I could talk to people about it, but this album... this story... can hopefully get my feelings across.

This is not me offering advice.

This is not me telling you how to feel.

This is not a cry for help.

But these are my feelings in execution, and a form of empathy for people I've seen with similar thoughts and feelings.

To, anybody that's felt like this, this is for you... and I hope it helps in the same way that working on this project has helped me.
